Vogue Knitting Live is the ultimate knitting event. Every year, yarn enthusiasts gather in NYC to share their love of knitting (and crochet). The convention has inspirational classes, Boutique yarn shopping, runway fashion shows and good old fiber fun. London went last year for the first time and fell in love with it all. She had a small booth set up and crocheted a portrait of David Bowie in honor of his passing. This year, she decided to take it to the next level. She called her piece Fashion Through the Decades. It was a tribute to Vogue Fashion. Vogue is the inspiration for 'Vogue Knitting Live' after all. She found a Vogue Magazine cover for each decade starting in 1910 all the way to 2017 and crocheted each cover girl. Spending an entire weekend with the girls, we got to know them pretty well. A few divas in the group, but for the most part, they were sooo nice. (We have a life I swear). If you didn't get a chance to check out London's booth, she'll be back next year. So make sure to swing by then! To all the incredible people we met this weekend, it was so much fun! Thanks for stopping by!
London is in the New York Times! The article is in the Fashion & Style section and will be in the Sunday paper! If you need us, we'll be doing our happy dance. Read the full article here and make sure to pick up a copy of the Sunday paper tomorrow morning!
OZY called London 'the crochet queen' and now 'Insider Art' is calling her 'the queen of yarn bombing'! I'm starting to see a pattern. Insider Art's latest video featured London and has over 2,000,000 views on Facebook! Say what? If you haven't seen it yet check it out below!
If you haven't heard of the website OZY, it's time you check it out. It's my new favorite site and they just featured London as a 'Rising Star'. According to OZY, London is the Crochet Queen! Check it out the feature here!
